Clean Harbors Names Jerry Correll President of Safety-Kleen
NORWELL, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Clean Harbors, Inc. (“Clean Harbors”) (CLH), the leading provider of environmental, energy and industrial services throughout North America, today announced that Jerry E. Correll, Executive Vice President of Environmental Sales, has been promoted to President of Safety-Kleen Environmental Services. Correll replaces Robert Craycraft, who has resigned to pursue other opportunities.
“Jerry’s background and industry experience make him ideally suited to lead our Safety-Kleen business,” said Alan S. McKim, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Clean Harbors. “Over the past 11 years he has taken on progressively larger roles at Clean Harbors, demonstrating strong leadership at every level. Prior to Clean Harbors, Jerry served for 16 years at Safety-Kleen, where he developed a command of the company’s business, operations and market opportunities. Given his history with both organizations, Jerry brings the right combination of skills to help with the successful completion of the integration of Safety-Kleen and to keep the business on its current growth trajectory.”
Correll joined Clean Harbors in 2002 in conjunction with the Company’s acquisition of Safety-Kleen’s Chemical Services Division. He has held a number of management positions at Clean Harbors including Senior Vice President Sales – Lines of Business. From 1986 to 2002, Correll served in various sales and operations management positions at Safety-Kleen, including Senior Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Corporate Accounts and Regional Vice President – Central U.S. Operations. He received a Juris Doctor from the Nashville School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Tennessee.
“I would like to commend Bob Craycraft for his contributions to Safety-Kleen and its success. He guided the company through two years of growth as it further established itself as the market leader in re-refining, parts washers and small quantity generators. The company’s promising outlook is due in large part to Bob’s stewardship and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” McKim concluded.
