Greg Biffle Races the Safety-Kleen Car
FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Safety-Kleen, a Clean Harbors Company, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Roush Fenway Racing No. 16 Ford Fusion to be driven by Greg Biffle at the Duck Commander 500 on Saturday, April 11 at Texas Motor Speedway. This will be the first of five races in key markets for the No. 16 and Biffle in Safety-Kleen colors. Safety-Kleen will field the No. 16 in the company’s familiar bright yellow paint scheme as used on its fleet of trucks during its storied 51-year history.
“I am so excited to be in a car that sports the same familiar color as the truck that has pulled up to my shop and kept it clean for years. We use Safety-Kleen at Roush Fenway Racing and at my personal shop as well,” an enthusiastic Greg Biffle stated at the Roush Fenway Racing facility in Concord, NC.
“Texas is historically one of our strongest tracks and we are excited about this weekend’s race,” said Jack Roush, founder and co-owner of Roush Fenway Racing. “We are also proud to be partnered with an industry-leading brand like Safety-Kleen on Greg’s car this weekend. We have a history of great results at Texas Motor Speedway and Greg has played a huge role in that success – winning the Cup Race there in 2005 and 2012, and the truck race in 2000. Our goal is to add to that successful legacy this weekend with Safety-Kleen on board the No. 16.”
Biffle’s car and the other Ford Fusion cars from the Roush Fenway Race Team run on Safety-Kleen’s EcoPower motor oil. EcoPower is made using Safety-Kleen’s closed-loop process where used oil is collected, re-refined and returned to the market. This “closed-loop” philosophy is by far the most environmentally responsible approach to handling used oil and provides a level of quality and performance that stands up to the rigors of NASCAR racing.
“Safety-Kleen has spent the past three decades involved in all types of motorsports and will be providing services at the event just like we do at race shops across North America,” said Leigh Harrington, Safety-Kleen Director of Marketing Strategy and Communications. “Safety-Kleen will recycle the used oil, used oil filters, fuel, absorbents, used rags, brake fluid, antifreeze and aerosols generated at the races just like we do every weekend on the NASCAR schedule, along with providing EcoPower oil to the Roush Fenway Racing Team. We proudly keep Roush Fenway, NASCAR and all of motorsports clean and green.”
